Adriana Ruelas is frying various types of fish on a small frying pan in her backyard on Wednesday night. Meanwhile, Ruelas' husband, Mario, and family friend, Juan Espilosna, were working hard as handymen throughout Bowling Green.

The issue: A student who is deaf and uses a wheelchair approached administrators Monday to address concerns about accommodations available to students with disabilities. Our view: Officials need to address such concerns, rather than leaning on the excuse that Western already complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
