Radio blabbermouth Don Imus was at it again Monday morning. Just more than a year after he was fired for making racially insensitive remarks about the Rutger's women's basketball team on his then nationally aired talk show, Imus spewed more racial bigotry - this time about Dallas Cowboys' cornerback Adam Jones.

UK alumnus Simidele Adeagbo competed and came in seventh in the women's triple jump competition, falling short of the top three contenders who will continue to Beijing in August.

Former MT and NFL quarterback Kelly Holcomb is among five former athletes to be inducted into the Blue Raider Hall of Fame on Sept. 6, as announced by MT's Athletic Department this past weekend.

Holcomb will be inducted alongside Joe Campbell, Jerry Beck, John DoDoo, and Paul Goebel.

Eastern can be an ordinary college to some students. However, for Brazilian tennis standout Juliana Frey, it is a place of opportunity. Frey decided to enroll at Eastern because her home country doesn't offer collegiate tennis. Frey, 17, is in the International Tennis Federation Girl's Under 18 division and has been involved in the competitive circuit for the last five years.

Eastern's football team will kick off the year in August against Central Michigan. The last time the Panthers faced the Chippewas was in 1999, and the Panthers prevailed 33-17. In 2007, Central Michigan won the Mid-American Conference Championship for the second straight year when they defeated Miami, 35-10.
